What is Tattoo Safe?
Tattoo Safe is an independent training, registration and verification platform built for tattoo and related professional practice. Today you can create an account, complete assigned training, take the official assessment in the practitioner application, and check a Tattoo Safe registration or certificate number against the live record.
Is the course CPD Accredited?
Yes. The launch course is CPD Accredited Infection Prevention & Control Level 2 for tattoo practitioners.
Who is the Level 2 course for?
It is written for tattoo practitioners. The same infection prevention principles also matter to people working in related professional practices. Studios and training providers will later be able to give their teams and learners access to the same course.
How much does the course cost?
The current course is £12. An annual refresher is intended to be £12. Pricing is one-off, not recurring. Start checkout from the course page to buy course access.
Does Tattoo Safe registration replace council licensing?
No. Tattoo Safe registration does not replace any licence, registration or legal requirement imposed by a local authority or other competent body.
How do I become Tattoo Safe Registered?
Creating an account does not make you Tattoo Safe Registered. Pass the official assessment in the practitioner application. A first qualifying pass creates one permanent Tattoo Safe registration number.
How can someone verify a Tattoo Safe credential?
Enter the exact Tattoo Safe registration or certificate number. Verification checks the live Tattoo Safe record, not a screenshot or copied badge. Names are not accepted.
How long does training remain Current?
Training status stays Current inside a configured refresher period. That status is live on Verify.
What happens when refresher training is due?
The public state is Refresher Due, not expired or unsafe. Annual refresher purchase is not live yet.
Can studios register?
Studio registration is part of the planned model. Studios cannot create a live Tattoo Safe Registered Studio record yet.
Can training providers provide course access?
Approved Training Partners are intended to give learners access to Tattoo Safe courses. Partner applications and licence checkout are not live yet.
